LIFTT was founded in 2018 to create immediate access to a network of Latinx professionals working in the entertainment industry. The group is 1,800+ members strong, and includes everyone who is creating content and promoting Latinx working in front and behind the camera, on stage and beyond.

We have members both in executive and creative careers. Our group is building a talent pipeline for up-and-coming professionals, and organizes events and education materials to shine a light on Latinos in entertainment.

She's worked in production with talent such as Guillermo del Toro, Eugenio Caballero, Dean Cudney, Omar Chaparro, Angelica Vale and others. She has worked for Estrella TV, Story Syndicate, Buzzfeed and is currently working for 51 Minds as a
Production Coordinator for all Below Deck franchises.

The Founder

Tessa Byford-Lopez is a Film & TV Producer, born in Huancayo, Peru and raised in Pittsburgh, PA.

Tessa has more than 11 years of experience in producing digital media and film, best known for her work in producing “Gaming Wall St” on HBO Max. She’s developed, produced, and production managed multiple feature films, commercials, documentaries, and over 100 short form projects.

Tessa created LIFTT during a time when discussions about diversity in the entertainment industry were on the rise - yet she felt there was no central place to connect with other Latinx industry professionals. She also wanted to provide a place where hiring Latinx professionals is easy and accessible.
