Elyza Halpern is a writer and production coordinator. Growing up in suburban Maryland, she first discovered her love for storytelling by forcing- I mean convincing friends and relatives to act in short skits filmed on a flip phone.
In high school, she wrote and directed a series of award winning one-act plays, and participated in a summer program called Filmsters in Annapolis, MD, where she learned the basics of filmmaking.
Upon entering college, she worried that film was too far out of reach as a career goal, and became a Public Policy Analysis and Psychology major. However, she rediscovered her passion for film when she joined Studio 47, a Claremont Colleges organization of student filmmakers, where she is involved in producing a variety of student content.
