Prodigium Pictures is a production company specializing in Social Impact Entertainment and cause marketing videos. Our mission is to amplify purpose-led initiatives of businesses and individuals, both for the benefit of the human enterprise and the planet.
We were founded by an international team in 2011, and have impacted millions of viewers globally with our content since. We pride ourselves on proactive diversity, environmental efficiency and technological pioneering. We work with some of the best talent in the world, right in the heart of Hollywood.
Our Philosophy
All information that a person consumes shapes their image of the world. Prodigium co-founder Tobias wrote his Berkeley thesis paper on “The Persuasive Impact of Narrative Motion Pictures on Individual and Society“. Moving images are probably the most influential medium of all. Whether they come in the shape of commercials, music videos, fictional feature films or documentaries – they can all be Social Impact Entertainment (SIE). At Prodigium, we are aware of this power and harness it for the benefit of our clients and collaborators. With great power must come great responsibility – and we advise our clients on how to impact their audiences in an ethical manner. A great deal of consideration goes into what life our projects have once they leave our desks.
The goal of our films is to foster critical thought through high-quality entertainment.

Since 2004, we learned various aspects of visual storytelling such as cinematography, editing, script writing, graphic design, and color grading, we can use every tool made available to us to tell story in a way that is going to connect with audiences in an emotional level. Purpose is nothing without an empathy and we make sure to deliver message authentically. We use filmmaking techniques creatively to design the quality of look and feel of each video that is just right for each purpose.
It is great to share with you that we released our first feature film we produced called Strive (2019) with all the accumulated skill set of each producers at Prodigium Pictures to tell a story that is important to us.
The U.S. film industry is male-dominated. We support gender equality in film: Each Prodigium project has a hiring policy that ensures a 50-50 male-female balance behind the scenes. Whenever possible, we also try to bring a representative balance into casting and character choices. At Prodigium, we educate ourselves and our leadership team on unconscious bias. Our goal as a company is to employ people in a manner that mirrors the Los Angeles population in gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation – and provide an equal playing field for the best people of all colors and genders available in town.
Data Transparency of Our Impact
Since 2011, we’ve continuously made an effort to measure our impact, and with below dashboard it is finally accessible to the public. There’s still much room for improvement, both in our impact and in our data collection methods, but this imperfect version is an important step in transparency. Explore the sex and ethnicity composition of cast and crew, U.N. Social Development Goals we supported through the content of our projects, and other factors of our impact reporting for 2019.
